The journey to your wedding day

Initially contact is made with the Parish Office. Tel: 01372 813332 email: parish.office@ashteadparish.org

Each couple will be given an appointment with the clergy. Couples are required to bring evidence of the qualifying connection, their passports and birth certificates. The clergy will confirm their provisional wedding booking and give the couple a wedding pack containing information and contact details.

Marriage preparation is a requirement and is provided in the form of a course with other couples usually held on two consecutive Saturday mornings. It is designed to help couples develop strong foundations for a lasting marriage, it is practical and good fun!

Three months before the wedding, couples meet with the Rector’s Clerk denise.newman@ashetadparish.org to go through legal matters including arranging banns or licence procedures.

8 weeks before the special day couples meet with the person who will marry them to plan the service.

Wedding rehearsal times will be confirmed but are usually at 6pm on the Thursday before the service.
