Our focus for 2011 - Faithful Relationship

We are an organization of Christian women and men, married and single, mothers and childless who care deeply about family life, the wellbeing of children, and the enabling of women to improve their own, and their families’ welfare

There are over 4 million of us worldwide in over 80 countries. In the UK members volunteer in prisons, support Womens’ Aid and their work in refuges, and aid local projects to improve the lives of their fellow men, women and children. We campaign and lobby Parliament on: parental rights, childrens’ welfare and international debt relief.

Our Chief Executive, Reg Bailey, has been invited to chair the Independent Review of the Commercialisation and Sexualisation of Childhood by Sarah Teather MP, the Minister for Children and Families, and is part of a strong commitment made by David Cameron and Nick Clegg to give a real measure of support to family life. We have recently launched our Bye Buy Childhood Campaign which is committed to seeing children as children, not simply consumers.

We have a voice at the United Nations.

Ashtead members do all this, and support local projects in this Parish. We care about our membership and envelope them in love and prayers. We are 120 next year.

Please pray this month for our work in prisons and with Women’s Aid
  • For our Parenting and Marriage Preparation Programmes
  • For our Bye Buy Childhood Campaign
  • For our Literacy Programme in Sudan which has been awarded £1million from Comic Relief, and for our Literacy workers  in the rest of Africa and the world.
