Alaisdair, Gillian, Jenny and Rob prepare for Village Day

This year we have an exciting new partnership between “Wheels” and Ashtead’s very popular annual Classic Car Display. This year the Display is being organised , courtesy of The Rotary Club, by Alaisdair Wallace and Rob Rennie, and all entrants have generously given a donation to “Wheels”.

All money raised will help fund the Wheelchair Workshop at Parkhurst Prison on The Isle of Wight, where old NHS wheelchairs, destined for landfill, are restored by prisoners, before being shipped out in large containers to developing countries. So your money will not only help the estimated 20 – 30 million people world-wide who need a wheelchair but who do not have access to one, but also the prisoners – whose participation in the workshop can help them to find a wonderful new sense of dignity, purpose and self respect.

If you would like to help us on our stand, or find out more about “Wheels”, please do contact Gillian. We look forward to seeing you on Village Day.
