Hand Bell Ringing
|
DING DONG BELL is the sound the St Giles' hand bell ringers look forward to twice a month on a Monday afternoon when they normally meet to practice in the ringing chamber of St Giles' Church, but while the church is closed they meet in a room at St George's Christian Centre. The eight ringers do their best with a varied collection of music, BUT would like one or two more ringers to enable them to do even better. Being able to read music is an advantage but not an absolute necessity and learning how to handle and ring a bell is fairly easy and is quickly learnt with help from the ringers.
They are a happy group and find plenty to laugh at (including themselves) when tackling some of our music. Why not contact them to see if hand bell ringing is something you would enjoy?
